Forest Hills Eastern girls basketball wins season opening thriller against Wyoming Kelloggsville

ADA, Michigan.- The Forest Hills Eastern girls basketball team opened the 2025-26 season win an opening night thriller against Wyoming Kelloggsville. The came right down to the final seconds, but it was Eastern who starts the season 1-0, after the 34-29 win. In the final minutes of the game Kelloggsville led 29-28, but a steal by the Hawks with a minute to play gave Eastern a shot at the lead. Kaylee Konwinski draws a foul and sunk both free throws to take a 1-point lead for the Hawks. Kelloggsville missed its next attempt at a basket, which the Hawks go down the floor and a pass from Scully to Brown for a layup gave FHE a 3-point led, and later Konwinski would secure the win for Eastern with 2 more made free throws. Leading the Hawks with 15-points was Megan Kozlowicz, Raena Scully and Kaylee Konwinski had 5, Maddie Brown with 4, Kylie Konwinski had 2 along with Lynlee White. The Hawks are back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 10th at Thornapple-Kellogg.
